The Trojan Real Estate Association (TREA) offers a variety of programs designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and the real estate industry. Our programs cater to students at all levels of experience, providing mentorship, technical training, and exclusive networking opportunities. Whether you are new to real estate or preparing for your first full-time role, TREA’s programs will help you build the skills and connections necessary for success.

Mentorship Programs

  • Lowerclassmen Mentorship Program
    Designed for freshmen and sophomores, this program pairs participants with experienced upperclassmen mentors.
    • Goals:
      • Provide guidance on internship applications and academic success.
      • Help mentees build strong resumes and navigate networking opportunities.
      • Offer insights into industry trends and market dynamics.
    • Structure: Bi-monthly meetings focusing on topics such as career guidance, LinkedIn profile building, and coursework recommendations.
  • Upperclassmen Mentorship Program
    • Description: Tailored for juniors and seniors, this program connects students with alumni from the USC Alumni Real Estate Network (AREN).
    • Goals:
      • Explore property types and mentor specialty areas.
      • Discuss workplace culture and skill development for career readiness.
      • Provide interview preparation and future career mapping.
    • Structure: Bi-monthly mentor-mentee sessions, held in person or virtually, focused on professional development.

Analyst Program

  • Description: A five-session technical training series designed to prepare students for real estate recruiting.
  • Content Areas:
    • Asset class overviews.
    • Market analysis techniques.
    • Financial modeling skills.
    • Industry best practices and tools.
  • Goals: Equip participants with the technical skills needed to excel in real estate internships and full-time roles.

Dining Society

  • Description: An exclusive, invitation-only program offering intimate meals with top real estate professionals.
  • Goals:
    • Foster meaningful connections in a relaxed setting.
    • Provide students with an opportunity to ask personalized questions and gain insights from industry leaders.
  • Structure: Small group dinners or lunches (3-4 students per professional), based on attendance points.

Industry Night

  • Description: TREA’s marquee annual event, bringing together students and professionals from 70-80 real estate firms.
  • Program Overview:
    • Networking reception.
    • Keynote remarks by industry leaders.
    • Roundtable discussions featuring professionals grouped by real estate specialties (e.g., brokers, investment firms, developers).
  • Goals:
    • Facilitate professional connections and provide insights into different real estate sectors.
